I submitted a patch a couple of weeks ago. It's
available from the the bug tracker on sourceforge. 
Same place as where you are reading this message. Let
me know if you can't find the patch there. Actually I
assumed you would get a message automatically when I
submitted the patch, but apparently that didn't happen.

One comment about the patch: I wasn't able to check
this patch on Windows, because I don't know how to
compile Python there. I would like to check it on
Windows though, because there were some inconsistencies
in the behavior of PyOS_InputHook between Windows and
other platforms in previous Python versions.

Oops.  No notfication goes out when a file is attached to a
report, so I simply didn't know.  Sorry about that.

Filing a new bug report as a way of getting in touch with
one particular developer is ... uh ... strange.  You can add
comments to existing issues, you know :-)
