The email.Generator module documentation contains this off-site link, entitled "WHY THE CONTENT-LENGTH FORMAT IS BAD":

That page no longer exists, and hasn't for quite a while, according to archive.org.  Perhaps the python docs should refer to another source for that informative rant from jwz.

Thanks for the report. I updated it to

in r53693 and r53694. This will hopefully be a bit more permanent.
