AtheOS appears to have croaked several years ago. While checking to see if it was still alive I came across Syllable (www.syllable.org). The Syllable folks would still like to support Python. One of the developers cooked up a patch against Python 2.5.1 which mostly replaces "atheos" with "syllable", though it appears to do a bit more than that. I applied the patch against the trunk and fixed a couple rejects. That patch is attached. Note that at this point the Syllable patch is missing a thread_syllable.h file. I have a request in to get ahold of that. Until that arrives this is on hold. Skip |

The syllable web site talks about doing a Python3 port, and about already having a python port (ie: python2), so given current policy on OS support it seems to me that this is now a dead issue. |
