I'm attaching a patch to the Misc/python-2.3.spec file,
here's the changelog:

- Adding some build prereqs suggested by Darren Steven
and Michael P. Soulier.
- Re-locating the code to change /usr/local/bin/python
references to after the docs are installed.

This version of the spec file seems to work with the
Red Hat Fedora release.

I'm closing this patch as outdated, as it appears to be superceded by
892673.
