The changes in here probably can be used for the
preliminary 2.4 spec file as well.

Grrr. sf.net seems to be having problems with file uploads.
 It's complaining that the file is <20 bytes or >256KB.
Pick up the file from:

ftp://ftp.python.org/python/2.3.4/rpms/python-spec-2.3.4-3.patch

Applied as
Checking in python-2.3.spec;
/cvsroot/python/python/dist/src/Misc/RPM/Attic/python-2.3.spec,v
 <--  python-2.3.spec
new revision: 1.2.12.14; previous revision: 1.2.12.13
done

Should I just copy this (patched) file to python-2.4.spec,
and s/2.3/2.4/ (that's pretty much what the current file is).

Yes, copying it to 2.4 and s/2.3/2.4/ should be a good start.

Assigning to jafo. jafo, feel free to make the changes that
you consider necessary; for this one, please close the

Checked into the trunk and notified mwh about it for the 2.4
release. Have posted RPMs on the python.org page as well.
